MR OLUMUYIWA OSHIN-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Muyiwa is a consummate investment banking professional with a remarkable depth of transaction experience. He has 27 years of work experience out of which he has spent the last 24 years in investment banking handling transactions encompassing equity & debt fund raisings, corporate restructuring, financial & investment advisory, structured finance, mergers & acquisitions, privatization advisory, corporate finance as well as the capital markets.

He started his financial services career in 1996 at Interstate Securities Limited where he worked in several departments including Stockbroking, Accounts, Treasury and Branch Operations. Muyiwa left in 20o2 to join First Atlantic Bank Plc (FAB) where he was a core member of the award-winning Investment Banking Team from 2002 to 2004. At FAB, he handled several privatization advisory mandates for the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) during the divestment and concession programme of key government enterprises. He thereafter joined Magnum Trust Bank in 2004 and was instrumental in the setting up of the Investment Banking department. When Magnum along with four other banks merged into Sterling Bank Plc in 2006, the Investment Banking department was incorporated as a subsidiary called Sterling Capital Markets Limited. He was here for over 6 years and left as Head of the Capital Markets Unit in 2012 to join Kedari Capital Limited as Head, Corporate Finance & Advisory rising to Executive Director by the time he left to co-found Unicorn Capital Limited In 2017.

Prior to co-founding Unicorn Capital Limited where he also served as the pioneer Chief Executive Officer, he was also a former Non-Executive Director at First Atlantic Brokers Limited, Ghana. Until recently, he was on the Board of WCM Capital Limited (Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange), where he served as Chairman of the Board Audit & Risk Management Committee.

Muyiwa has initiated, managed and closed innumerable high profile transactions on the Capital Market valued in excess of $2 billion as well as being a key member of deal teams in respect of fund raisings as well as mergers and acquisitions for several companies and governments such as First Bank, Union Bank, Skye Bank, First Atlantic Bank, Access Bank, First Interstate Merchant Bank, Sterling Bank, International Breweries, Aiico Insurance, Mutual Benefits Insurance, Prestige Assurance, Nfi Insurance, Chams Plc, Eterna Oil, Forte Oil, Ikoyi Hotels, Champion Breweries, Ekiti State, Ogun State, Zamfara State amongst other advisory and private equity fund raisings.

Muyiwa graduated from Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (1991) and subsequently obtained his master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) and master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos State University, Ojo in 2000 and 2005 respectively. He has attended several courses, trainings and seminars both locally and abroad.
